California-Nevada United Methodist Lay Leader Micheal Pope will be featured in the third in a series of webinar panel discussions entitled “Raise Up Your Voice Against Racism” Monday, January 25, 5pm PST.
The Asian American Language Ministry Plan, the General Board of Church and Society (GBCS) and the New Federation of Asian American United Methodists (NFAAUM), have launched a series of six webinars entitled “Raise Up Your Voice Against Racism”.
In this webinar will hear from our African American brothers and sisters. How is racism viewed for the perspective of our African American brothers and sisters? What would our African American brothers and sisters like to say to the Asian American United Methodists at such a time as this?
Micheal Pope will participate alongside the Rev. Quentisha Davis Wiles, Pastor at Pittsburg UMC in the Bay District, and Erin Hawkins, the Executive Director of Connectional Ministries in the California-Pacific Conference and former General Secretary with the General Commission on Religion and Race.
